About The Artisan
Founded in 2006 by four college graduates, Mai Vietnamese Handicrafts exports unique coiled newspaper products to the global market. Now employing 20 artisans from the rural Tuy Hoa Province where employment is scarce, they empower a growing group of marginalized women by providing fair wages, skills training, and the freedom to work from home. Thus, artisans from poor families can gain pride and confidence in their work.
